Welcome back to The Cooke Legacy! This is the thirty third chapter - we're getting pretty far, aren't we? This is Katie writing my last chapter for the generation N. In the last chapter you saw Madeline, the heiress, and her love Shanna get married and start their family. They had twins Nate and Norah. Then they both got pregnant and Shanna had Nala, Maddie had Nicole. Leighton and Hayden, Maddie's parents, are relishing their roles as grandparents. The family cats are having a bit of a hard time getting along - but hopefully that's all sorted out now. So let's let Maddie take over the narration from here!
-------------------------------------------------------

Nate and Norah, Shanna and mine's twins, are now school aged. They're doing exceptionally good in school - they both constantly bring home A+ grades. My parents, Leighton and Hayden, as well as Shanna and I couldn't be prouder of our young children!

We are also extremely proud of our toddlers! Nala, my sweet blonde headed little girl, and Nicole, my beautiful brown haired baby, are both learning to walk and talk with the help of their grandparents. I'm so glad to have my mom and dad so involved in my children's lives. Shanna, my parents and I all band together to make sure my four kids are always taken care of and that they are showered with love everyday.

Shanna has been harder than ever these days. She's getting so close to her lifetime want, to become a business tycoon, that she can taste it! Today she got promoted to the CEO of her company! I'm so happy for Shanna - obviously little Norah is too. She ran out from watching cartoons with Nate to give her mom a big congratulatory hug!

Norah is becoming quite the grown up young lady. She is very responsible and takes on the task of watching her baby sisters while they play with their toys. She helps Nicole learn the correct place for her shaped blocks. It makes me swell with pride to see how great my kids get along - I just hope this continues once they all get older!

"Peek-a-boo, Norah! Peek-a-boo!" Nate is also a wonderful big sibling! He doesn't quite have the patience to teach Nala and Norah things, but he loves to play peek-a-boo with them. The girls love the attention they get from their older siblings and I love that I can trust my children to take care of each other if I step out of the room for a minute.

Nala and Nicole have a birthday coming up quick. I don't like to think about my babies growing up so fast and neither do my parents! My mom and dad, who love having so many grandchildren running around their home, spend as much time as possible with the toddlers. They know that all too soon Nala and Nicole will be grown and these next few days are the last days they can spend cuddling and cooing to them.

I don't know what exactly has gotten into Pepper. He's always been the good cat of our house. We had to give away Snowball II and Stinker, our old pets, because they kept fighting. Now it looks like we'll have to give Pepper up for adoption as well. I hope our cats can start getting along! Now we just have Maggie and Zeus left. . . and they better behave!

Shanna has done it! She's been promoted to a business tycoon! After years of hard work and dedication to her company she's achieved her lifetime want.

Shanna and I were both at work when Nala and Nicole's birthdays rolled around. But that doesn't mean that they don't get a celebration; my parents made sure Nate and Norah made lots of noise as their siblings left behind their diaper days forever.

Nala and Nicole both aged into blue eyed beauties! Our little girls are growing up fast - I can't believe they are going to be joining their older siblings in school now. It makes me feel so old to have all my children school aged and out of their baby days. They are growing like weeds!

Obviously Shanna shares those feelings because the night after Nala and Nicole aged, she brought up the idea of having more children together.
"You know how much I would love to see six of our children married off, Maddie." Shanna, who has the new lifetime want to marry off six children, said to me.
"I would love to have more kids with you, you know that. But pretty soon Nate and Norah will be teenagers - TEENAGERS! You don't want to deal with teenagers and newborns at the same time. Plus, I still haven't achieved my first lifetime want yet. You have achieved what you wanted to do with your life - you're a business tycoon. I still have a few more promotions before I'm a world class ballet dancer, Shanna." I reasoned.

"I know, honey. But I really want two more kids. Six just seems like the perfect number. We have enough room in the house, we're certainly not hurting for money. I'd love to see six children get married and start families of their own! It's my second lifetime want." Shanna pleaded as she rolled on top of me. She thinks I don't know what she's up to - trying to be all sneaky and seductive. . . but I know her plans!
"Maybe we can adopt once our kids are a little older. Nala and Nicole just turned into children," I continued the debate while kissing my wife. "Nate and Norah will be teenagers soon. Let's tackle that and then go from there. Adoption is always a choice."
"Adoption sounds good," Shanna smiled and we carried on without anymore discussion about children.

The very next night, as if by fate, I was promoted from a flamenco dancer to a world class ballet dancer! I've finally reached the top of the dancing career and I have achieved my lifetime want. Looks like this might be a sign that Shanna and I should have or adopt two more children after all! Me not reaching my lifetime want yet was one of the main reasons I didn't want to have any more children. . .
My new lifetime want is to become the head of the SCIA!

I was extremely fortunate that I found the intelligence career track that very night on the computer. I accepted a job as a field agent and began working immediately.

"Happy birthday dear Nate and Norah! Happy birthday to you!" I got to witness my sweet firstborn babies growing into teenagers. They sure aren't babies anymore. They are about to enter a world they have never known before - and I just hope Shanna and I are ready to take on the mess of hormones they're about to be in! I hope my mom and dad, Leighton and Hayden, having raised three girls can help us a bunch when Nate and Norah are in their moody teen years.

My only handsome son Nate decided to follow the family path in his life with grilled cheese as his secondary aspiration. I thought this was a little odd, but if grilled cheese and babies is what he wants then let him have at it! Norah, who decided to pull her long hair up into a pony tail, wants to pursue the popularity path with knowledge as her secondary aspiration. Sounds like we might possibly have our hands full with her later on. I'm so happy that both of my beautiful children aged so wonderfully and decided on great aspirations.

"This is where the children skill. Nate and Norah, the oldest, have already maxed all of thier skills. Nala and Nicole are following in their big siblings footsteps."
"Splendid, just splendid!" The headmaster replied as my mother showed him around the house. My father had invited one of the local headmasters over for dinner in hopes that all four kids would be accepted into private school. Being an education minister, my father feels very highly about education. I attended private school for the later half of my education and I have to say - it does make a difference!

"How's the salmon? Is your asparagus cooked right, Henry?" My father Hayden served salmon and veggies as the entree for the headmaster.
"Yes perfect, Mr. Cooke, thank you! I have to say, I'm rather impressed with your home. . ."
"Oh Jack, of course I'll come see you play. If your the starting forward I wouldn't want to miss that, now would I?" Norah, oblivious to the importance of impressing the headmaster, was too busy flirting with the starting forward Jack Kim to take notice of much else.

My handsome young man has now joined the working world! After school he goes to work at the local hospital as an orderly. He is doing the lowly work now, but he wants to move up as high as he possibly can without having his degree yet. I'm so proud of my son because he got the job all on his own and he seems to be enjoying his work so far.

"Okay, so after I deal show you what I have, then bet on what you guys have?" Nate questioned over a game of poker one evening.
"No, silly," Shanna laughed, "weren't you listening to your mothers at all when we were explaining the rules?" I honestly could care less if he knew the rules of poker - I'm just glad that my teenage son still likes hanging out with his moms! I was fearing that Nate and Norah would be so hormonal as teens, but I haven't seen a stick of it yet.
"This is too confusing - I hate this game already! We're playing go fish!" Nate said as he snatched up the cards again. . .
Okay, so maybe I have seen just a little of the hormones!

Nate is such a wonderful big brother! On their first day of private school I didn't have to worry about getting my young children ready. Nate woke them up, fed them breakfast and made sure they had the right uniforms on for school. Then he walked them to the school bus and even sat with them on the ride to make them feel comfortable. He is such a blessing to this family - such a sweet growing young man!

"And so then I told Jack, if you got booted out of the soccer team because you were skipping practice then it's your own fault," Norah gossiped to the paper boy one Saturday morning. I have seen her eyeing him and she's been wanting to meet someone knew ever since she and Jack became best friends. "But then he said that the only reason he was skipping practice was to hang out with me. And yeah, I mean that's true. . . but I didn't make him. So it's really not my fault."
". . . . . Uh-huh. Well, nice chatting with you. I really gotta run." Justus the paper boy doesn't really seem to interested in Jack and Norah's strange friendship borderline relationship.

Nate LOVES grilled cheese - it is his secondary aspiration afterall. My father Hayden caters to Nate's grilled cheese wishes . . . literally. He fixes a whole mess of the cheesey sandwhiches whenever Nate gets a hankering for one.

Norah has joined the working world too! She got a job at the local aquarium as a research assistant! It gets better though - Nate was promoted to an EMT! Now he works a few hours nightly riding around in the ambulance with another EMT. I'm so proud of both my twins.

Nala and Nicole get along wonderfully. Nala is a little more girly than her little sister and prefers to play mary mack or gossip about children at school. Nicole likes to play tag, cops and robbers and jump rope when it's nice outside. Thankfully my girls don't fight over what activities they are going to do - they just take turns with who gets to choose what game they play next.

. . . . .
I have no words. I am really at a loss for why these cats cannot simply get along! Shanna and I are fed up with dealing with them. So Maggie and Zeus are out of here. We gave them away to the pet adoption agency and they will find good, and separate, homes for them both.

I was at work when my mother passed away. In a way I'm kind of glad I was gone. My father Hayden and she were relaxing in the afternoon painting on their easels when it got all cold and the grim reaper came for my mother Leighton. Shanna, Nala, Nicole and of course my father were there to witness her passing.
I can't believe she's really gone.

The same night I got promoted to a double agent. I am of couse happy about this, but it's hard to be excited about a promotion when my mom just died. I didn't get to say goodbye to her and tell her how much I love and appreciate her. This still doesn't seem real.

It's been awful in the house after mother's passing. Everyone is, of course, upset. I think dad is taking it the hardest - although he won't let anyone see him at his worst. One day he just got up, went to the pet store and decided that losing Maggie, Zeus and my mother all at once was just too much! So he adopted two new cats: Tabby, a short haried female tabby, and Felix an Egyptian Mau.

Tabby and Felix are wonderful new family pets. They get along great - so far - and don't ever fight or challenege each other - so far! I hope that continues to be the case because my father really enjoys loving on the new cats. It's really taken his mind off of my mother's death and has helped him cope with the loss.

"Happy birthday dear Nala and Nicole! Happy birthday to you!" Everyone gathed around to sing to the youngest family members as they entered their teenage years. This celebration was something good taht this family needed right now. It's not making us forget about my mom's death - but it lets us focus on something positive instead.

It's easy to believe how beautiful my girls turned out to be - just look at who they have for mothers! I'm only joking! I'm proud to have raised two girls as gorgeous and as intelligent as Nala and Nicole. Nala decided to follow the fortune aspiration in live - the same as Shanna and me! Her secondary aspiration is romance - I hope that doesn't get her into too much trouble! Nicole, like her sister Norah, decided on a primary aspiration of popularity. Her secondary is knowledge - a good solid choice!

I have achieved my second lifetime want! I'm now the head of the Sim CIA! I feel so lucky to have achieved two lifetime wants in such a short amount of time. My new, and third, lifetime want is to become the head of the entertainment career. I feel like after being in the intelligence agency for so long it's time to have a little fun! Right after I took a quick shower I found a job starting out in the entertainment career as a juggler. It's a huge step down from the CIA, but brings me closer to my third lifetime want.

"You need a girlfriend, Nate. For Heaven's sake you're a teenager now. You spend more time hanging out with our mothers than you do acting your age." Norah lectured as she shuffled a deck of cards like a pro - that's my girl!
"I know, I know. I just want to make sure I find the right girl. I don't want just any girlfriend. I would LOVE to find someone though. You know I've been wanting to have my first kiss ever since I turned into a teenager." Nate replied.

"The right girl? You're not looking for a wife just yet silly head," Norah laughed. "I have the perfect girl for you. There is a girl named Amaya in my history class at school. She's kind of shy, but I guess I could talk her into it."
Nate folded his cards onto the table. "That's cool I guess. Just don't think you're going to turn me into you! I don't want a new girlfriend every other day." Nate joked.
"Oh whatever! I so do not have a new boyfriend every other day. I just like to keep myself avaliable to new options when they come around." Norah sarcastically replied. They both laughed and continued their game of poker. Nate, a little nervous about a blind date, was excited that he may possibly have the opportunity to share his first kiss with someone soon.

Norah stayed true to her word and brought Amaya Wilson home with her the very next day. Nate was still in his private school outfit, but that didn't bother Amaya.
"That's an interesting shirt. I like how you tied the scarf around. It's very pretty on you." Nate blushed as he tried to flirt with a girl for the first time.
"Oh do you really think so?" Amaya ate up the compliment. "Well thank you. You're very sweet."
My son and his blind date hit it off right away. I think I see the start of something wonderful for Nate!

"Grilled cheese is my favorite too! The secret is to try out all different types of cheese. You don't always have to use cheddar, you know." Amaya just might be the perfect girl for my son Nate. Most people would laugh at Nate when he starts babbling on about grilled cheese - I know I do sometimes and I'm his mother.
"I could make you some if you're hungry. Would you like to come in?" Nate was nervous that he was moving too fast by inviting Amaya into our home to eat and meet the family.
"Well maybe another time." Amaya looked nervous too, "It's getting late and I should really get home and start my homework. Thanks for the offer though. It was great to meet you - you're really fun to hang out with. We should do it again soon!"
Nate was dissapointed that his time with Amaya had come to an end, but she said she wanted to do it again soon! That was something to look forward to! "Absolutely," Nate replied, "I'll give you a call."

Nala, my little fortune aspiration child, is working hard at earning as much money as she possibly can. I suggested that she get a job like Nate and Norah did as teenagers, but she didn't like that idea. She told me matter-of-factly that selling one painting a day earns four times as much as Nate and Norah make on one paycheck. She's right, I just think it would do her some good to start working so she can have some experience.

Shanna called me at work on my lunch break and told me that something had happened while she was trying to fix the computer. She said she hit something wrong with the screwdriver and she got shocked pretty bad. Thankfully Nala and my father Hayden were there to help her when it happened! I'm so glad my wife didn't die that day.

The same night that Shanna was shocked by the computer I got promoted to a Headliner! I'll know be trying out my comedic skills at the end of the nights in comedy clubs around the city. I couldn't enjoy my promotion too much though because I was shaken up at the idea of losing Shanna.

That night I held Shanna as close as I could all throughout the night. I can't imagine my life without her. We have been together since my college years and we have made a beautiful family together. I'll be sure to tell her in the morning how much I love her. . . and not to ever scare me like that again!

The weekend after meeting Amaya and hanging out at the house, Nate invited her out to Reds Famous 50's Diner for their first official date! They started out by playing pool and messing around on the pinball machines.

"So what college do you want to go to, Nate? What do you want to do with your life?" Amaya questioned as they were wating on their food to be cooked.
"I'm not sure what career I want. I know that I want a big family though. I love living at home with my grandfather, my moms and three sisters. I do miss my grandma though. She was really hands on with us four when we were growing up. I'd like to have that type of family with my own kids." Nate replied. "What about you?"

"I want to go to Sim State University. I'm not sure what my major will be yet - but I have plenty of time to think about that. Family sounds nice too though. I would like a few kids of my own one day." Amaya smiled. Together they talked about what they wanted out of life, their hopes and dreams and really got to know each other a little better over dinner.

After their plates were taken away, Amaya and Nate tore up the dance floor! Nate put a quarter in the juke box and picked an old song that he and his date could dance to. He said it was a lot of fun hanging out with Amaya. I can see the budding of a high school sweetheart relationship!

At the end of the date Nate finally got his wish to have his first kiss! He said he had butterflies in his stomach the whole time! After the kiss was over Nate asked Amaya to be his girlfriend. She said yes!

Back at home another one of my children was pondering going steady with someone. Well. . . I guess I should say someone was pondering going steady with her. Jack Kim, Norah's first somewhat relationship, wanted to take their friendship to the next level. He came over to ask her to be his girlfriend when he got off work, but it didn't go so well.
"I wouldn't be your girlfriend if you were the last man on earth. Can't you take a hint? You were just fun to flirt with. I didn't actually want to be with you. Hit the road, Jack!" Norah didn't let the poor guy down easy.

I have been promoted to the Master of Ceremonies! I can just feel that I'm getting closer and closer to the big promotion to Prestidigitator! It's not too far away. If I keep working hard and putting in good hours I'll be there in no time.

Tabby and Felix are getting along very well. No fights, attacks or even snubs with our new family pets. In fact, they're getting along so great that they just welcomed a new kitten to their feline family. Fuzzy, their male kitten, has blue eyes and soft white fur right now.

Nicole, a popularity aspiration, recently had the wish to make best friends with everyone in the family. She is already closer with us all, but she wants to get to know everyone a little more. So she has started spending more one on one time with everyone - starting with me! I love that my little girl wants to be so close with her family.

Nala ended up getting an afterschool part time job - even though when I suggested it, it was a stupid idea! Hah, teenagers! Nala is working as a secretary in a journalism office. She sorts the mail and gets the writers their coffee. Small stuff, but hopefully one day it will pay off. She seems to enjoy her little job too - that's the important thing.

Nicole is still on her quest to become best friends with everyone in the family. She and I have spent the last couple of days together since I had three days in a row off. But now I'm back at work so Nicole is spending time with Shanna since she has the weekends off. Nala also has the weekends off, but doesn't stop working. A fortune aspiration was suitible for her because she is making as much money as possible with work and paintings.

I have done it! I've achieved my THIRD lifetime want. I am now a Prestidigitator. I tell you what, I have never been so happy than at this moment in my life. I have a wonderful and loving wife in Shanna, we have four beautiful children, three cats that FINALLY get along and I have achieved three lifetime wants in one lifetime. I'm a happy, happy woman.

I decided not to persue my fourth lifetime want - to become the law - completing three is more than enough. Shanna and I had our birthdays together - we decided not to throw a big bash, but we both were there to see each other age into oldies! Shanna is still beautiful to me! Now it's time for you, reader, to choose which one of my four children will carry on this legacy. Nate, Norah, Nala and Nicole are all wonderful choices - but you can only pick one. So good luck to you. I will see you next time!
